Letters make words
words make sentences,
and then sentences make a different kind of letter.
it is the letter that I sent,
Filling them with words strung together
to make thoughts and images.
maybe you can see them too,
pretend you are here, hearing these thoughts.
I make letters to write letters,
sheets of sentences and lines to you just for you.
can you see, can you hear?
Pretend at least, try at the very least,
and I will be satisfied.
Phones and dreams and computer screens
keep us connected throughout the day.
these moments are written on air
and cannot stay.
My letter you can touch where I touched,
read wher i wrote,
and smile where i meant you too.
Words make letters,
letters just for you.

Silver Lake
Never seen so many stars
falling and soaring, or staying perfectly still
light breezes shift the mirror
until returning to its original state of calm
I cant see you, but i can feel you
like the loons, heard but not scene
the dark is peaceful calming
a rare gem in the world of lights
The moon and stars collide in your eyes
my eyes adjust to your presence
your eyes bleed into the lake,
the same color and lights.
to dive, to swim
never leaving.
The memory lingers,
imprinted, never going completely dark.
falling and soaring, or staying perfectly still
light breezes shift the mirror
until returning to its original state of calm
I cant see you, but i can feel you
like the loons, heard but not scene
the dark is peaceful calming
a rare gem in the world of lights
The moon and stars collide in your eyes
my eyes adjust to your presence
your eyes bleed into the lake,
the same color and lights.
to dive, to swim
never leaving.
The memory lingers,
imprinted, never going completely dark.
